Congratulations 2017 PSC Leadership Academy Class
As a continuation of our commitment to leadership development, PSC is pleased to announce the 2017 Leadership Academy Class. The goal of PSC’s Leadership Academy is to expose emerging professionals to business leadership and management concepts that are best suited for the success of the firm. Each of the following individuals was selected based on their applications and recommendations from PSC leadership. Congratulations to the class of 2017!
Thom Campbell, PE | Frisco | K-12
As a Senior Project Manager with over 25 years of experience in the North Texas area, Thom’s experience has been focused on structural engineering design and construction from the early stages of design through construction administration. He has successfully completed projects with many school districts in North Texas. His experience with educational facilities is extensive with projects ranging from new high schools, small school addition and renovation projects, and school support facilities. Thom serves on the Board for the North Texas chapter of A4LE. Originally from St. Louis, Thom and his wife, Leslie, have been married for 17 years. They have two daughters Elly (15) and Chloe (13).
Jeremy Cheatham, PE | Lubbock | Site Development/Site Civil
Jeremy has served as project manager/project engineer on numerous developments in areas all around Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Lubbock and Midland. His experience includes extensive work with single family residential, multi-family residential, commercial property, schools and churches. He has designed infrastructure and drainage for more than 5,000 acres of property, including master drainage plans for several large developments. Jeremy is from Brownfield and is active in teaching and leading small groups at Live Oak Community Church and volunteers at Lubbock Impact and the Children’s Home of Lubbock. He is married to Jennifer and they have three children: Mallory & Kelby (almost 9) and Zachary (4).
Adrian Davis | Lubbock | Transportation
Adrian is an Engineering Technologist with more than 18 years of experience at PSC. He has played a pivotal role in many street projects for the City of Lubbock, group seal coating projects, Brownfield and Big Spring. Adrian is an expert in CAD and Microstation. He has been a mentor to many EIT’s by teaching them different drafting technologies. He currently serves on PSC’s Technology User Group, where he provides insight and hands-on experience to shape IT tools and processes. He is also a member of the PSC softball team, the Black Sox. Adrian is from Lubbock and is married to Missy. They have one daughter, Madi (3).
Nicco Genzer, AIA | Houston | K-12
Nicco specializes in large multiphase renovation and addition projects. His experience includes additions and renovations to Permian High School in Odessa, Lamesa High School and South Elementary, and extensive work in dozens of other school districts. He also works closely with many ARE candidates and helps them with exam preparation. Nicco served on the AIA Lubbock Board of Directors as the Development Director and Chair of the 42nd annual AIA Lubbock Scholarship Golf tournament. Nicco is from Houston and married to Maggie. They have one daughter, Elizabeth (18 months) and two dogs.
Kevin Halliburton, AIA | Abilene | K-12
Kevin has more than 24 years experience as a project manager and architect with the majority being in Pre-K thru 12th Grade school design. Kevin simplifies complex ideas and problems to resolve them with solid communication and unites others in building creative solutions. Kevin and his wife, Jenny, serve as life group pastors and AWANA volunteers for Beltway Park Church. He is a member of AIA Abilene, where he served as the TAC chairman for many years. Kevin is from Abilene. He and Jenny have two children, Sterling (15) and Christian (8). In addition to his PSC duties, Kevin also runs a small commercial advertising photography studio in Abilene.
Derek Hammond, PE | Austin | MEP / S
Derek is a Structural Engineer with expertise in design and construction administration for industrial, environmental, religious, athletic, government, and educational facilities. His knowledge of materials include concrete, steel, masonry, light gage and wood stud type buildings. He also has experience in the determination, solution, and design for the rehabilitation and renovations of structural elements in existing buildings. Derek is a graduate of Abilene Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class, was the Abilene United Way chair, volunteered at multiple schools in Abilene and was a volunteer on the Lake Travis Clean Up SCUBA Diving project. Derek says his hometown is Colorado Springs and Breckenridge, Harlingen and Lubbock. He has a son, Asher (15 months).
Kim Hooker, AIA, LEED AP, RAS | Amarillo | Higher Ed
Kim’s experience is in facility and accessibility assessment, historic renovation, master planning and design. Her work includes the Master Plan for New Mexico School for the Deaf, Renovation of the award-winning Connor Hall and Phase 1 Renovation of the Ilfeld-Johnson Warehouse in Santa Rosa, NM. Kim has facilitated public design workshops to listen to community needs and build project engagement. Kim participates with Accessibility Professionals Association on the Technical Standards Committee and recently achieved the APA/ADA Specialist designation. Her work in K-12 Education has led to active volunteering in the Architecture & Children Program from 2014-2016. She is from Detroit, married to Larry and has two children, Eleanor and Theo.
Kyle Krueger, PE | Lubbock | Infrastructure
Through regional water supply projects, Kyle’s experience includes project management of water supply projects, direct potable reuse construction management and operation, planning and evaluation of water source life, water source operational adequacy and expansion possibilities, long-term rehabilitation planning for water supply and transmission systems, and operations of wellfields, reservoirs and water transmission systems. Kyle’s wastewater experience includes design and construction of new and rehabilitated lift stations along with gravity lines and force mains. Kyle is from Miles, Texas and is married to Jessica.
Todd Stiggins, PE | Lubbock | Public Works
Todd’s experience includes engineering design and construction services for over 150 acres of MSW landfill liner, final cover, and capital improvement projects in Texas and Oklahoma, including management of project scope, schedule, and budget totaling in excess of $50 million. Additionally, he has performed geotechnical engineering analyses for landfill waste management units and developed Site Operating Plans, Landfill Gas Management Plans, and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans. Todd is from Lubbock and married to Erin. They have two children, Wyatt (4) and Kaytlen (2).
Kristin Thomas | Lubbock | Corporate
Kristin is the Career Development Coordinator in the Human Resources department. She is from Lubbock and has a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Texas Tech. She works to build the PSC employee community by managing PSCU, Leadership Academy, Project Management Training, Professional Liability Training, New Employee Orientation, internal communications, and other employee development activities. Kristin has been with PSC since 2009. She is an active member in the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, a Meals on Wheels on volunteer, and a volunteer/committee member for the Alzheimer’s Football League.
Dacia Tucholke | Albuquerque | Public Works
Dacia serves as a Project Manager for Gordon PSC, with an experience that encompasses a wide variety of solid waste related issues which include project management on landfill permitting and regulatory compliance projects, site characterization for solid waste, oil and gas, hazardous and radioactive waste processing and disposal facilities, and State and Federal environmental regulatory compliance. Ms. Tucholke has served as both a project and field manager for varied Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), groundwater monitoring, and remedial investigations. She has experience with geologic data management and served in this role on a subcontracted Federal project for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Dacia is FROM Falmouth, MA and married to Chad. They have one daughter, June (5).
John Vandygriff | Lubbock | Corporate
John is the Information Technology Manager in the IT Department. He is from Abernathy and has a Master’s degree in Information Systems. John is married to Christie and they have five children: Kassandra, Kameron, Cori, Conor, and Karli. John joined PSC this year after spending the last ten years at Texas Tech. John and Christie are involved in the Abernathy community by working with such organizations as: the Softball Association, Methodist Church, Abernathy ISD and Volunteer Fire Department.
