Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m an infomercial junky, love all that is beer, would golf or mountain bike (or both) all day…and have never met a stranger.

How did you first learn about PSC?

I roomed with Matt Dyer whilst on my mandatory sabbatical form NMSU. I needed a job, one became available at PSC, Matt mentioned me and voila! The rest is history.

Before working at PSC, what was the most unusual/interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a parking lot attendant for NMSU. I had a guy’s car towed from the NMSU campus once only to drink beer with him later that evening … oh and there is no quota. They let you write as many tickets as you want and call the hook at will.

Do you recall any embarrassing moments at work?

First couple of weeks on the job, I flipped a breaker by checking a current with a meter set up wrong. Melted the lead and lost a bunch of people’s work they had not saved. Not very bueno. Lesson learned — save, and save often.

What has been your favorite project at PSC?

We’ve done so many, but I’d have to say the Twin Buttes Dam project in San Angelo would be at the top of the list. It became apparent to me that all of our engineering predecessors were/are truly engineers.

Describe what you were like at age 10.

I was just figuring myself out. I was a little shy, a bit nerdy, and cussed like a sailor. Like worse than now. I know, hard to believe.

What’s your proudest moment at PSC?

For some reason, I’ve gotten to host the El Paso Christmas party for the past five years or so, I’d place that close to the top.

Tell us a little bit about your family.

My best friend is my wife and we have two unbelievable daughters that someday soon will rule the world.

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.

  1. I am bad about taking on another’s accent or broken English while in conversation.
  2. I like a razor cut when I go to the stylist.
  3. I watch all the Housewives of “any city” reality shows.

What phobias do you have?

Dark alleys give me the heebie-jeebies.

If you could switch jobs with anyone else within PSC, who would it be and why?

Mike Pink, retired with money in Colorado … done and done, son.

What is one thing you can’t live without?

My sunglasses.
