Ruppert Rangel, AIA/CCS, is a Principal at Parkhill with his primary responsibilities in Construction Administration and specifications and has been involved with virtually every project in the Abilene office for more than 30 years.

His extracurricular activities include professional affiliations with the American Institute of Architects and its Abilene chapter, the Texas Society of Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute where he holds a Certified Construction Specifier credential. Rangel’s civic organization involvement includes the Abilene Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors), Tax Increment Finance District, Development Corp. of Abilene, Abilene Improvement District, Grace Cultural Museum, and Day Nursery of Abilene.

“I enjoy the various activities and details related to design and construction and I gain immense pleasure seeing buildings I have been involved with being built.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

“Woodworking, fishing and chasing grandchildren.”

What is something interesting about yourself?

“Since my family was career military, we moved almost every three years while I was growing up. I once crashed a B-1 bomber… in a flight simulator at Dyess AFB.”
