Crews with Deem Structural Services, steel erector for Lee Lewis Construction Inc., raised a 45-ton truss into place at the roof of The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences this past week. This 155-foot truss spans across the entire lobby of The Buddy Holly Hall. It supports the roof above, a roof below and the entire front façade at the entrance of the building. The Buddy Holly Hall was designed in partnership with Toronto-based Diamond Schmitt Architects Inc., along with Lubbock-based firms Parkhill, Smith & Cooper and MWM Architects.
